Metastatic leiomyosarcoma of vault post – hysterectomy

Fibroids/Leiomyomas are the most common benign mesenchymal neoplasms and consist of smooth muscle cells with variable amounts fibrous stoma. Atypical leiomyomas rare forms myoma (fibroid uterus), which recurrent atypical leiomyoma post hysterectomy is rarer its converting into leiomyosarcoma rising from vault rarest. The tumor occurs frequently in uterus, affecting 20-30% women reproductive age. We report a case 51 years old P4L4A2 patient presented complaints PV bleeding for 4 days, was done 1 year back chronic nonspecific cervicitis cervical leiomyomatous polyp. In January 2022, polypoidal growth Laparoscopic excision mass performed, Sample has been sent histopathology suggestive mitotically active leiomyoma. Radical vaginectomy reconstruction done, small bowel deposits found diagnosed as Metastatic Leiomyosarcoma. Hence, diagnosis should always kept mind though hysterectomized.
